Since the weather decided to go from 82 yesterday to 32 today, we decided to go get a library card. I figure Dylan is getting to the age where he would enjoy getting to see different books other than the 100 or so that we have here at home. He picked out two books Monster Truck Drag Racing and Rockets and Spaceships.

I decided to make some homemade beef jerky. I use to have a delicious seasoning kit, but I was sad to find out that the store no longer carries it. So sad...so I had to improvise and it was not so good. It took FOREVER to get completely dry in my dehydrator, I think I sliced it too thick. Also, it was RIDICULOUSLY salty. But like all of my culinary adventures that don't turn out exactly the way I plan, I loaded the jerky up and took it up to the tractor dealership. Our employees there are like Mikey, they'll try and eat anything!

Since the kids were out of school for MLK day, my cousins Jami and Sherrie came over and brought each of their two boys. So I decided to take individual pictures of all six 'cousins' for a picture frame that my Granny has at her house with six slots. I figure we had better go ahead and get a little use out of it before her 7th great-grandchild arrives. So here is a picture I took of Jami's son Drew. He is the youngest of the five boys. Too cute!

Dylan and cousin Jacob standing by the turtle fountain at the mall.
Dylan has gotten green "Humpty's" at pre-school for the past two weeks, so I told him we could go to Build-A-Bear Workshop and make a new friend. Every child in Dylan's class has a Humpty Dumpty on the wall in their classroom. They have a calendar in their Take-Home folder made out of Humpty's. If they don't get in trouble they color them green, if they get in trouble once they have to color them yellow, and twice then red. His cousin Jacob had an early release day so we picked him up and went to the mall. Dylan made a Longhorn named Big Horn, Jacob made a dinosaur named Godzilla, and Riley made a gray kitty named Greta.

I got a call from Riley's Mother's Day Out this morning about an hour after I had dropped her off. She was apparently running in the room and fell and hit her nose/left eye on a little rocking chair. The new bruise goes nicely with the healing black eye under her right eye that she got when Dylan 'accidentally' let go of the door and it hit her in the face. Poor baby girl!

Friday evening Dylan wanted to look at pictures. So we looked at our wedding album and also at the scrapbook of his first year. After looking at them he asked, "Where's Riley's book?" I decided that I needed to get on the ball and get hers done before the baby comes this summer. So, here is what our kitchen table looked like on Saturday.

Today was my first day to actually be able to take pictures of the kiddos for this 'project' of mine. It is hard not to put a picture of the two of them up, however, I love this picture I took of Dylan when he and Riley were jumping on the trampoline today. It was an incredibly beautiful day, about 80 degrees outside so we spent the day taking down the outdoor Christmas decorations too. Of course, typical Texas weather, it is suppose to be in the 30's and 40's tomorrow and Monday!
